HumaticAI has integrated Paddle to support the commercial launch of Digital Peers worldwide.

Paddle provides the checkout, subscription billing, and Merchant of Record infrastructure behind eligible HumaticAI purchases. This gives customers a more straightforward way to subscribe, and lets HumaticAI operate its software business across international markets without building that machinery itself.

The result is simple: Digital Peers are now available to customers in more markets than before, with the payment options they already use and transaction-level tax handling built into the purchase flow.

About the integration

Selling software internationally involves more than accepting a card payment. It requires a system for checkout, subscription management, invoicing, tax calculation and remittance, refunds, chargebacks, and compliance across jurisdictions.

HumaticAI selected Paddle to provide this commerce layer. For eligible transactions, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record — the legal entity that sells the product to the end customer and takes responsibility for the associated payment and transaction-level tax processes.

That allows our team to focus on what HumaticAI is built to do: developing Digital Peers that retain context, build useful memory over time, and become part of a person's or organisation's daily work.

Why HumaticAI chose Paddle

Paddle is a Merchant of Record platform for software and digital-product businesses. It combines checkout, recurring billing, tax management, fraud and risk controls, invoicing, and subscription operations in one platform.

According to Paddle's published materials, it supports digital businesses in 300+ markets and cites 190 million transactions processed, $130 million in taxes remitted, and 10,000+ businesses using the platform. Figures are Paddle's published metrics and may change over time (paddle.com, reviewed 24 September 2026).

For HumaticAI, that model removes the need to assemble and operate a separate international commerce stack while we are focused on building and improving the peer experience.

About HumaticAI

HumaticAI builds Digital Peers: persistent AI teammates that retain useful context and memory across sessions and belong to the individual or organisation using them.

A Digital Peer is not designed as a disposable chat window. It can maintain context around projects, clients, preferences, and working methods, becoming more useful through repeated use. The goal is simple: give professionals and teams an AI teammate they can build a working relationship with — not merely temporary access to a generic assistant.

What the integration supports

  • International checkout. Customers can purchase HumaticAI subscriptions through Paddle's checkout experience, using payment methods and currencies available in their location.
  • Subscription management. Plan changes, renewals, proration, invoices, and failed-payment recovery are managed through the subscription platform.
  • Merchant of Record operations. For eligible purchases, Paddle handles the transaction as Merchant of Record, including relevant payment, billing, tax, refund, and chargeback responsibilities.
  • A scalable commercial foundation. HumaticAI can expand its subscription offering without building every component of a cross-border billing operation from scratch.

Availability of payment methods, currencies, and purchase options may vary by customer location and Paddle's supported services.

Plans for individuals and teams

Free. A personal Digital Peer with persistent memory and a monthly message allowance. No card required. This is a working peer, not a limited product demo.

Plus — $24/month. More peers, higher limits, model selection, and reasoning capabilities for professionals who want a Digital Peer to become part of their regular workflow.

Team — $29 per seat/month, minimum three seats. Shared peers for organisations, giving a team access to the same persistent context and organisational knowledge.

Enterprise — custom pricing. Options for data residency, SCIM, service levels, pooled usage, dedicated support, and other organisational requirements.

Monthly and annual billing are available. See the pricing page for current plan details, availability, and terms.

Why we built it this way

Many AI tools provide access to a general-purpose assistant through a seat-based subscription. That can be useful, but it does not necessarily give a person or team a persistent AI teammate shaped around their own working context. You get a seat, a token allowance, and a monthly bill that grows with your usage — not the thing itself.

HumaticAI works the other way. You get a peer: a persistent assistant with its own memory, its own context, and its own place in your workflow. It remembers your projects, your clients, and your preferences between sessions. It is designed to operate as your peer — retaining the context and memory you choose to build into it over time, subject to your plan, workspace configuration, and applicable terms.

This is the same architecture we described in how an AI Digital Employee fits into a real business, and the same reasoning behind why we build peers instead of chatbots.

The pricing, without the sales call

The interesting market is not the one that will pay anything for a demo. It is the professional who wants to stop renting a chatbot and start owning a colleague. Twenty-four dollars a month is roughly the cost of one hour of a specialist's time, and it is the price at which a peer stops being a budget decision and becomes a habit.

Tradeoffs and limitations

A peer you own is not the cheapest way to answer one-off questions. If you need a search box with a chat interface, the free tiers of the big assistants will do that for nothing, and you should use them.

It is also the wrong purchase if nobody on the team will actually talk to it. Persistent memory only pays off when there is a habit behind it. A peer that sits unused for a month is a $24 subscription and nothing else.

And if your requirement is a single narrow automation with a fixed input and output, you want a script or a workflow, not a peer.
